In the Hung Shui Kiu community of Yuen Long, we operate one Neighborhood Elderly Centre and one Community Care Centre for the Elderly, providing a wide range of activities and experiences for the elderly as well as comprehensive care and support for the elderly, their families and carers.
Elderly Services
In November 1994, the Association opened “Watt Pak U Memorial Social Centre for the Elderly”. In October 2014, it was upgraded to a Neighborhood Elderly Centre, namely “NTWJWASSDL Pak U Neighborhood Elderly Centre”. In January 2017, the Centre was relocated to Hung Fuk Estate, Hung Shui Kiu and continues to provide services to elderly in the area. The service area of the centre covers one public housing estate, seven rural villages and more than 30 private housing estates, where the elderly can participate in social and recreational activities, such as festival celebrations and Chinese calligraphy, health education seminars and assessments, and counselling services. The Centre also offers support for those who care for the elderly, including the provision of carer skills training, relaxation activities and rehabilitation supply loan and donation services.

Community Care Services
We are a recognised service provider under the“Pilot Scheme on Community Care Service Voucher for the Elderly” of the Social Welfare Department since July 2020. Based on the concepts of “ageing in place” and “continuum of care”, we provide professional care and services for the elderly so that they may continue living in the community for as long as possible. Our Centre-Based Services include daycare service, transportation and escorting to appointments. Our Home-Based Services include rehabilitation and nursing care while our Home Support Services include onsite carer training, home risk assessments and meal deliveries.
